Since October 2019, the Eckardt family offers vacation guests the opportunity to enjoy the charm of the closed half-timbered farm and relax from everyday life. For the adventurous, the Eifel offers beautiful hiking routes such as the Römerkanalwanderweg. Countless castles, nearby golf courses and the outlet in Bad Münstereifel, only 7 km away, offer a varied leisure time. In the Badewelt Euskirchen you can relax for a whole day if you like. The freeway access to the A1 is only about 7 minutes away by car. Here you can quickly reach, for example, the Phantasialand in Brühl, Cologne or Bonn.
We, the Eckardt family, acquired one of the oldest half-timbered farmsteads in Mechernich-Antweiler in 2014 and have lived in part of it ourselves since November 2015. Since then, the total 312 m² living space of the house, the nostalgic courtyard and the large garden are continuously renovated and changed in harmony of the old with the modern. The in-house chickens do their best to produce a few breakfast eggs for all guests! A total of 3 residential units are available, one of which is used by the Eckardt family itself. The non-smoking apartments were furnished with much effort & love. Parking spaces are available in front of the house.
